Spoken word Poem

“You’re only a part of an infinite universe, of which you cannot see.

SATs, jail with keys, the royal Aung Sun Suu Kyi.

You think that  ‘I want nobody nobody but you’ means repeat, repeat, repeat

Until the song fills every cavity in your brain

And yet there’s no room for ‘people killing people dying, children hurting, hear them crying.’

And money does not equal knowledge does not equal limitless power

because like all things, money will turn sour

And you walk by stragglers on the street with your click clack heels

not thinking about where they’re from, who you are to them, what you mean to them.

You may not know what inane means,

but you are what insane means.”
