During my trip up north, I (of course) forgot my camera, so I had to make do with a few quick 3 minute sketches.
The Ajanta and Ellorah caves, which date back to 5,000 years ago. This particular one is a Jainist monastery carved out of a mountain. It’s almost surreal how detailed the statues and Gurus etched in the ceiling and walls are, done in a time when there was only hammer and chisel.
A glimpse of the Golden Temple, Amritsar, the religious holyground of the SIkhs in India.
One of the tradional Indian instruments.
A quick sketch of a boy preforming a Sikh play.
